We have now added Malta to the list of juresdictions we can offer QROPS from. Since Malta is part of EU it more likely to be able to conform to the HMRC guidelines than many other areas.
It works particularly well if you are expat based in Thailand, this is because there is not dual taxation agreement and Malta imposes a flat rate tax at drawdown of just 2.5%
Even better news, Credenda Associates has linked to Malta QROPS providers is such a way that if in the future benefits in Malta get changed then our clients can move without cost to a different juresdiction.
So if you are an expat looking to transfer your pension to something you can manage and at the same time take the asset out of Inheritance tax equations this is a good option.
Remember, we do not charge clients any upfront fees, if the paperwork for any reason results in the pensions not transferring ther is no cost to the client, only after successful transfer do we as a company earn our fee.
